Jan Mei Chinese Takeout & Delivery

Just moved to the area. Looked at about 10 restaurants in the area & this one caught my appetite! They didn’t disappoint one bit. I ordered special house fried rice w/ no chicken, wonton soup, chicken wings (delicious), shrimp lo mein, egg rolls. All delicious ! I called in to order for pick up, they unfortunately don’t deliver. Food was ready by the time we arrived & the lady at the register was so sweet. Will be coming back very soon!

First time trying Jan Mei’s and we were pleasantly surprised from the moment we entered this takeout spot till we finished our meal. The location was very clean and tidy. Janet came through to greet us and she emitted such kindness and warmth in her service! We brought home the orange chicken and pork fried rice, the portion was very big and delicious, we will definitely return!

The food at Jan Mei is the best Chinese takeout food I’ve found in the area. I live about 20 minutes away but make the drive because it’s that darn good! The ingredients are fresh in everything and the wonton soup is unbeatable. The broth and dumplings have so much flavor. The pork fried rice tastes much more like NYC fried rice, not the usual local stuff. You’ll be pleased with the service. They appreciate business and they are happy to let you know how much it means to them that you have come. This is a place to try. You’ll keep coming back!!!!

Jan Mel Chinese Takeout is located on Pine Island and Oakland Park Blvd near Sami’s Nail Spa in Sunrise. I love this place. The service is always friendly and the woman at the front counter remembers your order. I’ve been going to Jan Mei for years and it never disappoints. The pricing for lunch or dinner is very reasonable and their combination meals are very filling and everything is made fresh to order. There is also a sit down waiting area where you can sit and wait for your food to be prepared. I recommend Jan Mei if you are looking for a great Chinese food restaurant with tasty food and excellent service.

Our take out today October 1st 2025 consisted of AMAZING Chinese spare ribs, amazing shrimp and lobster sauce. Would recommend this to anyone who is hungry for tasty Chinese food. Delicious. Tell her the guy in the hat sent you. Not rating the atmosphere since it is a take out place. But the food is delicious. Enjoy!
